The MetaMesh
Pillars

A MetaMesh pillar is placed beside each fair booth. The owner of the booth does not need to provide printed material or host their own information for the fair. MetaMesh aggregates all information, which will then be unlocked by each visitor.

Scan, Update and
Watch Live

All pillars speak to a central server, which handles all individual scans and updates the activities on a website with a live visualization.

Unlock with
immediate feedback

The scanner inside the pillar is always ready. Placing the QR-card on the surface will give the visitor instant feedback.

No power and LAN
cable necessary

The scanner, consisting of a RaspberryPi, a webcam and a LED stripe runs solely on batteries and uses Wi-Fi. Sufficient for one day at the fair.

Live connected
to all visitors

The MetaMesh website went live during the "MediaNight 2014" at HdM in Stuttgart. The website tracked the practical productions of the five flavors of the degree program "Audiovisual Media".
